Found Celebrities
Ever wondered where your favorite celebrity from the 70's is doing today. I did some research and listed below are some folks I have found. Please note, this information maybe be a year or two old!! I would love to have names for this list and updated information, so if you have anything that would fit in here, please email me. :)
Alison Arngrim: She played nasty Nellie Olsen on Little House on the Prairie. Doing standup under the name of "Prairie Bitch". Justine Bateman: She played Mallory on "Family Ties". She now has her own fashion design company. Robbie Benson: Teen idol that I best remember from the film "Ode To Billy Joe" based on the 60's song of the same name. Robbie is married and spends most of his time behind the scenes doing voice-overs and directing. Lindwood Boomer: He played blind Adam Kendall on "Little House on The Prairie". Lindwood spent most of his post Little House days behind the scenes writing and producing episodes of TV series "Silver Spoons" and "Night Court". He is also the brainchild behind the highly successful "Malcolm in the Middle" now seen on Fox Network. Jackson Bostwick: We loved him as Shazam on the 70's live action show "Shazam". Check out his webpage to see what he is up to, today! Thom Bray: He was Murray "Boz" Bozinksky on the show "Riptide". He now spends most of his time behind the scenes. One of his most recent jobs was as consulting producer for tv series "Nash Bridges". Danielle Brisebois: She was the little girl that Archie Bunker took in to raise. She now sings for her supper. Joyce Bulifant: She was Murray's wife on the "Mary Tyler Moore Show" as well as a frequent guest panelist on the game show "Match Game". She still acts on occasion and is also currently (as of 2002) writing her autobiography. Gary Burghoff: Radar on the TV series "Mash" (as well as in the movie) is a successful artist. He does act on occasion working in theatre. He hosted a PBS series entitled "Pets; Part of the Family". He divides his home time between California and Connecticut. Joanna Cameron: She was "Andrea Thomas" aka "Isis" on the Saturday morning live action show of the 1970's. She left the entertainment field in the 1980's and now works as a nurse in California although I have heard that she is now working in the hotel industry? Here is supposed to be a recent photo--how recent, I can't say!! Randall Carver: He was naïve taxi driver, John Burns, in the series "Taxi". He lives in California and works as an acting coach for up and coming and established stars! Shaun Cassidy: Half brother to another teen sensation, David, Shaun got his chance at teen idol thing by staring in "The Hardy Boys" in the middle 1970's. He also had a successful recording career. Shaun does theatre and is also active behind the scenes, writing, directing. He is the brainchild behind the cult TV series "American Gothic". Lydia Cornell: She was "Sara Rush" on the series "too Close For Comfort". She is now best selling author. John Davey: He was the second actor to portray Shazam on the 70's live action series! Joyce Dewitt: She played "Janet" on "Three's Company". When the show ended in 1984, she spent 10 years or so trying to "find herself". She is now back in the acting scene. Tim Donnelly: Played fireman Chet Kelly on the series "Emergency". He had been working behind the scenes as a set designer, but his real passion is writing and once he retires he plans to do that full time. Carl Douglas: Famous for the song "Kung Fu Fighting" resides in Hamburg Germany where he has his own publishing company that deals with films, documentaries and advertising. Fred Dryer: He was Sgt. Rick Hunter on the TV series "Hunter". Check out his site to see what he is doing today. Tim Dunigan: He worked in the 80's TV series Wizards and Warriors as well as being the original "Templeton "Face" Peck on The A-Team before Dirk Benedict took over the role. He hasn't worked in the entertainment business in a few years and now runs his own mortgage business. Ike Eisenmann: Star of the Disney classic "Escape To Witch Mountain" and it's sequel "Return From Witch Mountain". He is married and lives in California and still does occasional work in the entertainment industry. Yvonne Elliman: She came on the scene starring as Mary in the Broadway play and movie "Jesus Christ Superstar". She had several big hits in the 70's one of which was "If I Can't Have You". She left the business to become a full time mom. Ron Ely: Probably best remembered as Tarzan on the 1960's TV series and then playing "Doc Savage". Ron left the entertainment business and has turned his talents towards writing. He lives with his wife of 20 years in California. Wesley Eure: He was "Will Marshall" on "Land of the Lost" and then moved over to "Days of Our Lives" as Mike Horton. In the 1990's he became a writer, penning children's books (The Red Wings of Christmas") as well as adult humor books. Brian Foster: The second Chris Partridge now races cars! Soliel Moon Frye: She was Punky Brewster and is also actor Meeno Peluce's half sister. She recently married and still works on occasional projects with her brother. Paul Michael Glaser: David Starsky on "Starsky and Hutch". Paul spends a lot of his time being an AIDS activist since the death of his wife in 1994 from the disease that she contracted during a blood transfusion. He also finds time to direct movies that are sports oriented. Leif Garrett: Teen heartthrob I remember best from a TV series called "Three For the Road". Leif had been the front for a group called "Godspeed" but his most recent brushes with fame are his numerous encounters with the law. Gil Gerard: He was Buck Rogers on the NBC series from 1978-81. He still acts on occasion but spends time behind the scenes in the production area. Also works with lots of charities Grant Goodeve: He was the oldest son on the show "Eight is Enough" and his most recent work is hosting a show called "Northwest Backroads" out of Seattle Washington. Michael Gray: He was Billy Batson in the 70's show "Shazam". He is no longer in the entertainment industry, instead is married and runs his own business with his wife. Brodie Greer: He was "Barry Baricza" on CHIPS. He did some acting after the show ended, but now sells real estate in California. Richard Hatch: NOT to be confused with the guy who won the first "Survivor" show. Richard first came to my attention working on "The Streets of San Fransisco" and then as "Apollo" on the show "Battlestar Galactica. Today Richard is a successful author and motivational speaker. Nicholas Hammond: He was the "Amazing Spiderman" in the 1977 series. He now lives in Australia and still works in the entertainment business. Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs. Best known as Freddy Washington on "Welcome Back Kotter". He still acts on occasion and has recorded several albums. Lance Kerwin: "James at 15" star is now a drug counselor at a CA drug rehab camp. Richard Kline: He was Larry Dallas on "Three's Company". He still acts on a fairly regular basis and his most recent stint was on "That 70's Show". John Lansing: Played "Doc" on the 70's Saturday show "The Kids From C.A.P.E.R". He now spends most of his time behind the scenes as a producer and writer. But, on rare occasions he has been known to step in front of the camera. Anyone have a recent photo of John to share??? Michael Lembeck: He was "Kaptain Kool" from the 70's Saturday morning show "Kaptain Kook and The Kongs" as well having a re-occurring role on the 70's show "One Day At A Time". Michael now spends most of his time behind the scenes directing. He is the son of the late Harvey Lembeck. Marco Lopez: Played a firefighter of the same name of the 70's hit "Emergency" he lives in Nevada and still does commercials on occasion. (and no he was never a real life firefighter) Randy Mantooth: Played John Gage paramedic/firefighter on the show "Emergency". He still works in the entertainment industry. Spends a lot of his time working with charitable organizations like "Make a Wish Foundation" as well as others. Pamela Sue Martin: She was Nancy Drew in the 70's series. She then went on to become "Fallon" on the show "Dynasty". Currently lives in Idaho and does a lot of stage work. Maureen McCormick: She won your hearts as Marcia Brady on the Brady Bunch. She still acts and has recorded an acclaimed country music CD. Phillip McKeon: He was Tommy Hyatt in the series "Alice". He is Nancy McKeon's (Jo from the Facts of Life) older brother. He works behind the scenes as a producer. Jimmy McNichol: Brother to actress Kristy McNichol. Jimmy is married with kids and sings in his own band. Kristy McNichol: Sister to Jimmy has retired from the business. Martin Milner: Officer Pete Malloy on the long running Adam 12 show. Martin still acts when the urge strikes him, but his real passions are playing golf and fly fishing. Starting in 1993 and still continuing today, he is the co host of a syndicated radio show, "Let's Talk Hookup" about fishing. Donny Most: He was Ralph Malph on Happy Days. Donny still works in the industry--acting, directing and doing voice overs. Billy Mummy: Danger Will Robinson! That's right he played in the series "Lost in Space". He now sings and writes his own music and does an occasional stint in front of the camera. Ben Murphy: We loved him as "Jedediah "Kid" Curry (Thaddeus Jones) on Alias Smith and Jones, a TV western from the 1970's. Ben also went on to star in "Gemini Man". Ben still acts---anyone have any more recent info on him? Connie Newton: She was Elizabeth Bradford in "Eight is Enough". She has retired from acting and now teaches dance. Ronald Pailillo: Arnold Horshack on "Welcome Back Kotter" illustrates children's books (Wesley Eure's The Red Wings of Christmas is one of them!). Ron teaches acting and has directed a few plays as well. Butch Patrick: He was everyone's favorite little werewolf on the Munsters. Butch lives in Florida. Meeno Peluce: Half brother to Soliel Moon Frye. Worked with the late Jon Eric Hexum in the show "Voyagers". He now is a teacher in Calfornia and does do occasional work with his sister. Bruce Penhall: He was Bruce Nelson on "CHIPS". Today he spends him time racing power boats. Ron Pinkard: He played Dr. Mike Morton on Emergency. He was working as the Deputy Director of the Mayors Office of Art, Culture and Film for the city of Denver Colorado but I have heard that he has since retired from the position? Anyone know for sure? :) Eve Plumb: The middle sister on the Brady Bunch is still in the acting business. Susan Richardson: She played Susan Bradford on "Eight Is Enough, she now lives in Pennsylvania and spends lots of her time working with charitable organizations. Judson Scott: He was Bennu on the TV show "The Phoenix". He still acts and his most recent role is Absalom on "The X Files". Ricky Segall: The cute little kid next door on the "Partridge Family" is now married and is a pastor in a Texas church. Bobby Sherman: 70's teen idol is an EMT in California. Shields and Yarnell: Mine partners who had their own show briefly in the mid 70's. They are both still working in mine together once again, but they have branched out into other areas as well. Shields is an artist as well as actor, mine, designer who lives in Arizona and Yarnell has branched out into movies and also teaches dance and lives in Norway. Stephen Shortridge: He was a cute hunk brought in to fill the void left by the departure of John Travolta on the show "Welcome Back Kotter". Stephen did work in the entertainment business for a few years after the show ended. His new claim to fame is being a successful artist under the name of Stephen Charles Shortridge. Sonny Shroyer: He was dimwitted deputy "Enos Strait" on "The Dukes of Hazzard". He also has his own short lived show "Enos". He still works in the business. Andrew Stevens: Son of actress Stella Stevens and once married to Charlie's Angel's Kate Jackson, he started out as a model and then became a much sought after hunk for movies in the 70's. He still acts but has also added director and producer to his credits. He is president of the "Royal Oaks Entertainment" production company. Parker Stevenson: He was Frank Hardy on the 70's show "The Hardy Boys". He has worked steadily since the show ended. His most recent bought of fame was his messy and very public divorce from actress Kirstie Alley. Mike Stoker: He played a firefighter of the same name on the show Emergency and was, in real life a firefighter. After the show ended he went back to working and raising his kids. He now spends is time divided between living in Mexico and Montana. Kevin Tighe: Starred as Roy Desotta on the 1972-77 tv series "Emergency". Kevin still acts and one of his most recent ventures was the 2002 mini series "Red Rose" based on a Stephen King story. Charlene Tilton: She was Lucy Ewing on the hit show "Dallas". She married country singer Johnny Lee and they had a daughter, Cheris, who is also an actress. Charlene is slowly making a comeback in the entertainment industry. Laurie Walters: Joannie Bradford on "Eight is Enough" has retired from acting and lives in California, Jill Whelan: Vicky Stubbing on the "Love Boat". Spends most of her time being a full time mom, but on occasion has stepped in front of the camera..
