(Un) Forgettable Movies

Big Screen and Small Screen---remember these--- you think so, maybe, sorta, kinda?  :)

The California Kid: This made for TV movie from 1974 starred Martin Sheen.  He goes in search of his brother's killer---a sadistic sheriff of small town who has a habit of forcing speeders off the road to their deaths on the dangerous winding roads around his town.
Captain America: Reb Brown took on the role of Captain America in two made for TV movies.  The first in 1979 called "Captain America" and the second called Captain America: Death Too Soon in 1980.
The Car: James Brolin stars in this cute little thriller about a car that is possessed by pure evil and the havoc it creates for everyone it comes in contact with!  It is a phantom, a demon or the devil himself!
C.H.O.M.P.S:  Wesley Eure (Will Marshall on Land of the Lost) and Valerie Bertinelli (Barbara of "One Day At A Time") star in this movie produced in 1979 by Hannah-Barbera.  The story is about a young inventor creating a canine crime fighting machine!  CHOMPS stands for Canine Home Protection System! Of course a rival wants the invention for his own!!
Dark Night of the Scarecrow: A mentally retarded man is brutally killed by a group of enraged citizens who think he is responsible for hurting a little girl.  When it is revealed that he wasn't to blame, one by one the members of the group meet an untimely end in this made for TV movie.
Doc Savage Man Of Bronze:  Ron Ely, who played Tarzan in the 1966-68 TV series took on the role of Savage in this 1975 film.
The Fan:  This 1981 film stars Lauren Bacall as a movie star who is stalked by a demented fan played by Michael Biehn.  Don't confuse the Robert DeNiro movie of the same name made in 1996 with this one.
The Frisco Kid:  Harrison Ford and Gene Wilder star in this western buddy film from 1979. Wilder is a Jewish Rabbi heading out west to assume the leadership of a congregation and Harrison Ford is the softhearted outlaw who takes pity on him when he finds in trying to catch fish (here fishy fishy fishy, I don't want to hurt you, I just want to eat you!!) in a stream with his bare hands.  :)  What ensues is Ford and Wilder getting into all kinds of comic situations as they travel together.
The Hearse:  A recently divorced teacher decides to get away from it all by spending the summer at her late Aunt's house.  Soon after arriving she has a run in with a creepy old hearse…
Kiss Meets The Phantom of The Park:  When the special effects wizard at an amusement park where KISS it to perform is fired because he is considered mentally unstable---he decides to get revenge by  replacing people with their android look a likes. It is up to KISS to save the day or will they be next on the madman's list…. Watch the movie to find out!
The Legend of the Lone Ranger:  Klinton Spilsbury starred in this forgettable 1981 big screen version of the classic cowboy good guy.  It was called by many one of the worst films ever made, but to be honest, in my opinion, it really isn't that bad of a movie. Klinton's lines, supposedly, were re-dubbed by actor James Keach.
The Midnight Hour: (sometimes known as "In The Midnight Hour") This 1986 made for TV movie has a group of high school kids who manage to bring the dead back to life on Halloween night. I'm dead and you're dying…
Scavenger Hunt:  This 1979 film stars Dirk Benedict, Willie Aames, James Coco, Tony Randall and more. To inherit millions several teams must collect various things on a scavenger hunt.
Shadow of the Hawk: This 1976 film stars Jan Michael Vincent as the grandson of an Indian medicine man.  Old Hawk comes looking for his grandson (Vincent) in hopes he will help him fight a 200 year old witch who was executed and has now come back for revenge.
Snowbeast:  The 1977 TV movie was about a Bigfoot type creature terrorizing a ski resort.
Somebody Killed Her Husband:  This was Farrah's first starring role fresh out of her stint as Jill Monroe on the successful Charlie's Angels series. She plays, Jenny Moore, a young woman whose husband has been killed. She and her lover seek to find the killer before they are accused of the crime.
Spectre: This 1977 TV movie starred Robert Culp and Gig Young. Culp played William Sebestian, a renowned occult investigator who goes to London to investigate strange goings on at an estate of a friend.
This House Possessed: 1981 TV movie stars Parker Stevenson (Frank Hardy of the Hardy Boys" fame) as a singer who buys a house to recoup in after passing out from exhaustion while on stage.  He hires a live in nurse and  she begins to feel as though she has some ties to this house and then strange things start to happen.
Wonder Woman: This 1974 TV movie starred Cathy Lee Crosby as Wonder Woman.  She didn't resemble Wonder Woman in any way, the suit was totally different, and this WW was blonde.  Makes you wonder what comic book the producers/writers of this movie had read that we missed?
