THE PHOENIX
This series premiered in 1980, but it didn't last long. Bennu, played by actor Judson Scott, is an ancient astronaut who was discovered in a Peruvian tomb and released from his slumber. He spends each episode in search of his traveling companion, Mira, who is buried somewhere in another tomb. He can channel the powers of the sun by using the medallion that he wears around his neck. Each week Bennu would get involved in someone's problems and help them solve it. Of course, Bennu had problems of his own, he was chased by a bad guy who wanted to capture him at any cost. I have heard it said that there is at least one episode that was either filmed but never shown on TV or was in the works but was never filmed? Anyone know if this is true?
